Do you feel that you are caught in a rut? Sometimes we housewives feel like everyday is the same. You spend so much energy doing everyday duties that pile up and need to be done the next day and the next. A person can really lose themselves in just living everyday life. You are not alone! It happens to most of us at some point! Here is a list of ideas that you can do to help break up the monotony of everyday life at home: - Call a friend for a lunch date (kids and all).
- Don't go shopping alone with your kids, ask a friend to go with you.
- Plan a date night with your husband once a week. It gives you and your spouse something to look forward to.
- Go to the park.
- Drive around for an hour. Sometimes, just getting out of the house and driving around looking at houses.
- Have a competition. Call a friend and see who can get the most done in the next half an hour.
- Organize 10 new activities for your kids during the next 10 days.
- Start a hobby. After your scheduled "chores" do your hobby!
- Plan an adult get together at your home. Plan all the details. Give yourself at least two weeks to spend time on it everyday. It will give you something to plan and look forward to.
- Get involved! Volunteer for the community, in your child's school, or church functions.
When life starts getting you down because you feel like everyday is the same, add some spark to it by doing one or two new things on this list!
