Why I Love Being a HousewifeThough the words "House Wife" have a negative connotation in today's society there is nothing that I love more. I guess there is something about waking up to the smell of freshly washed sheets and the sound of my husband in the shower, knowing that I don't have to go anywhere, I get to stay home.

KeepersI grew up in the 40s/50s with practical parents. A mother, God love her, who washed aluminum foil after she cooked in it, then reused it. She was the original recycle queen, before they had a Name for it.  A father who was happier getting old shoes fixed than buying new ones.

Homemaker's way of lifeI remember the day clearly. I was only nineteen, and I was shopping at the grocery store  with a dear friend. My friend was much older and wiser than I, and well past the age of  retirement.  At this particular life moment, she meant everything to me. Her role was that of mentor and adviser.
