Food prices have been increasing all of the world and just this week we're hearing about riots in Haiti and Egypt where there is a frightening shortage of food. I found a terrific list of 101 ways to stretch your food dollars that I wanted to share with you.

America loves to garage sale and so do I!  I love to garage sale!  I love to sit out in the sun with friends or family and sell my “junk”.  But, most of all, I love to buy “treasures” at other’s garage sales!

I reuse the can for picnics, cookies (which get broken in zip lock bags) fit beautifully in the can and are never broken. Great at the beach, hiking etc.

You could cut off the legs and make a pillow out of the the top part. Sew up the leg parts and the waist band and stuff it through the zipper.

When my kids were small, I would save all the tubes to paper towels, toilet paper rolls, small boxes of different sizes, cardboard from sheets and packages, extra rope, ribbon, etc. and put them in a larger box. 

I love the library! With summer here, most public libraries are gearing up their summer reading programs and some larger libraries even have programs for the adults with prizes!
