Please take into consideration that I tend to do many things that will help my husband and myself live healthier lives; not just by (trying) to eat right, but by other measures also. I tend to be a health nut, going to an herbalist and taking vitamins. Most of us have become almost dependent on our nonstick cookware. It's nice to cook on and SO easy to clean. However, there are health risks to this great invention. Formaldehyde is used to make the coating (DuPont) and it is released into your food while cooking. It's not enough to taste, but little by little. We all know what formaldehyde is used for, so I won't go into details.
t's also made of aluminum which in turn releases into our food and we ingest it. We are already surrounded by metals, so extra is very unnecessary. (Aluminum is also in antiperspirant which causes lumps which in turn could lead to surgery to remove unless you go to an herbalist.) It would be better to cook with stainless steel. If you buy a high grade (18/10) your food won't stick, or you can use cast iron. The iron is a mineral we need in our diet. Many of us, especially women, have an iron deficiency, in which the cast iron cookware could help with. If you already own a new set of cookware, you don't have to go out and buy another new set after reading this. There are a few things you can do to cut back on aluminum ingestion now. Don't drink out of aluminum cans. Buy the plastic bottles or if you have to buy cans, pour the soda into a glass. (Remember, soda is not really good for us either. Cut it all out if you can. If not completely, every once in a while.) Healthy living - for the Lord!
