Love Lettersby: Kourtney
Go to your nearest craft supply store or sign shop. Purchase full sheets of sticky paper. (it is like a full page sticker) Hold up to a window and trace your love note. For example: Be my Valentine. You can type the words out on your computer larger in any font to trace. Simply cut the letters out and place on windows or even on your walls. Great for all Holidays!
Romantic Evening Outby: Tami Melancon
If it is hard to find a babysitter or a decent restaurant not already booked, or you just don't have the money for Valentine's then make your own romantic evening out and save money too!
Gather a group of friends or family couples and go in together on a babysitter or maybe someone has children old enough to baby-sit. Then pick someone's home to make into your restaurant for dinner. As a group plan your meal like steaks, baby red potatoes with herbs and butter, long string beans etc. Come dressed in your best attire. use cardboard tables with linens and your best dishes. Make it a romantic evening out. Play soft music, use candles etc. There is so much you can do, it is fun and you save money.
Valentine Telegramsby: Emily Sayer
I'm in charge of Activities, and my favorite Valentine Activity was a fundraiser for the YW/YM. We sold Singing Telegrams to the men in the ward, and they could purchase just the romantic 4-part serenade with the homemade valentine and chocolates, or opt to include something custom with the singing delivery. The women in the ward looked forward to their valentine every year, and say this was they were assured a gift and a kiss (even if it was a cheek kiss from a 16 year old).
