This is so simple if you can find an old wooden toolbox, and two or three terra - cotta pots! If not, I have included the measurements to build one, really simple!! All you need to make the planter is a couple of pieces of wood, a half-inch dowel rod, nails and hammer. Purchase some Americana color red, white, and blue paint (craft paint, whatever brand you prefer), some star stencils (found at Wal-Mart for like 48 cents!!), and two or three terra cotta pots.
Follow the measurements, hammer together and paint! Set the terra cotta pots inside and fill with some wave petunias or whatever you like and set it on your front porch! Or you could do what I did and use it inside as a decoration. I have my sons medicine in it and it sits on my fridge!!! This is so cute and a lot of fun! Of course, it works just as well, if you find an old wooden toolbox to use. Have fun!
