When I think of Easter, the first thing I picture in my head is Jesus rising from His grave. Then, I picture beautiful sunshine and green grass, bunnies and frilly little dresses. I love to see those gorgeous Easter dresses on the store racks.
Whether your “rock” is financial, emotional, or otherwise, the Lord can roll it away in the name of Jesus Christ. My “rock” was a severely abusive marriage. I stayed for three years hoping that my perseverance and faith would pay off. I wasn’t following the Lord’s plan. I was following what I thought was the Lord’s plan because I hadn’t really listened to what he was telling me. I was trying to save something that was not salvageable. It was the Lord’s plan to really save me. I found drugs one day in the laundry. They were right under my one-year-old son’s things. The Lord moved my “rock” that day. I became a believer. I packed what would fit in my car and I left that rock lying on the couch. I haven’t seen him or spoken to him since. Since that day, I became renewed. I am blessed each Easter because I know what God did for Jesus. I know what he did for me, and I know what He can do for you.
I was a single mother for one year. I then met my husband to be and now we are married. He is better to my son than the “rock” ever thought of being. He truly loves us and now we are expecting a new addition to our family in August! Talk about renewing a life! He renewed mine and made it better than I could have ever imagined! Praise the Lord!
Thank you, Lord for all the Easters that I get to celebrate in peace because you move not only rocks, but mountains.
If you have a rock today, please let God take care of that for you! Accept him into your life and make every day your own “Easter”.
