Easing Morning Sickness

Mint is good for general stomach upset. Try making yourself some peppermint tea. For some women though it may make their upset even worse.

Ginger also works well. You can eat ginger snaps or drink ginger ale. I recommend drinking ginger tea.

You can also try papaya enzyme.

If you feel a bout of nausea coming on, take a lemon and slice it and smell the lemon. It helps to make you feel better.

A friend of mine told me the best cure that she uses when she is sick with pregnancy. Before she goes to bed at night, she takes a half of a Unisom. She wakes up the next morning with no sickness.

My personal favorite tip to treat morning sickness is papaya enzymes, but however, my doctor told me if that didn't work, to drink lemonade (raspberry lemonade works great), or even (gross) potato chips.  Somehow potato chips and their grease helps the nausea (never tried it though).

I didn't want to take any meds during pregnancy so I tried EVERYTHING!!!!  Nothing seemed to work.  One day I tried eating almonds and it worked.  Every time I felt a bout of nausea coming on I only had to eat a couple and I felt great.  They are healthy too!  Another good tip is to reduce stress by walking and get tons of sleep (if you can)

I had severe nausea and morning sickness with my sixth baby.  Things that I did to help were:

    *      Made sure my blood sugar didn't get too low

    *      Ate light foods such as salads and fruits

    *      Sucked on "Preggy Pops" (found at Motherhood stores or online at Motherhood.com)

    *      Took Mag Phos 30C homeopathic remedies.  This helped me tremendously!

Here are some Homeopathic remedies for pregnancy related morning sickness. First ensure that there is no medical condition.

IPECACUANHA 6C - For constant nausea, not relieved by vomiting. Clean tongue, needs to keep swallowing an excess of saliva.

SEPIA 6C - For nausea at sight, smell or thought of food. Morning sickness before eating, vomits on rinsing mouth. Craves vinegar.

GLOSSYPIUM 6C - For nausea and vomiting worse before breakfast, movement or standing up. No appetite, sensitive stomach with a lot of gas.

Dosage: one tablet every half hour.

An Enjoyable Bed Rest

By Aine Schulmire

Many women have been put on bed rest for different reasons.  Most commonly, it's used to help babies stay in the mother's womb for a prolonged period of time to ensure that the baby develops to a stage that it can sustain it's own life before entering into the world. ....
