Chili Ramma: Labor Inducing Chili

3 large cans of kidney beans

3 3/4 pounds of sweet sausage

5 pounds of ground beef

5 sticks of celery (diced)

3 cans of Italian whole tomatoes

3 cans of stewed tomatoes

2 large packs of sliced mushrooms

4 large white onions (diced)

1 small bulb of garlic (minced)

1 jar of hot salsa

2 pounds white shoepeg corn

cayenne powder, chili powder, cumin and pepper (about 2 tablespoons each)


Brown sausage and ground beef in a frying pan. Drain. In a large stockpot, add tomatoes, salsa, celery, onions, garlic, mushrooms and seasonings (to taste). Add sausage and ground beef. Cook on medium heat for about two hours. Add corn about an hour before serving. Cook on medium heat for another hour.
