Have the whole family go into town and take pictures to make into an album for someone with special needs or maybe for a new church member.. This could be a future  family service project.

The following family service projects, I believe, are particularly family friendly.

Colorful leaves, crisp cool air, the slightest smell of smoke from neighborhood fireplaces. Ah, cool autumn evenings are here. As the days become shorter there is more time spent gathered in with family members and times spent playing favorite board games or watching movies.

Every 4th of July after watching the local town parade we have lots of fun and games at our home with other relatives. We play a "Mini-Olympics" with some outlandish and fun competitive areas. Watermelon Seed Spitting, Hula Hoop contest, Bubble Blowing Contest,

One fun little activity our family did years ago. It had been a particularly LONG winter with lots of snow. I cooked up fried chicken, potato salad , all the picnic goodies, and I told the children that when their dad got home from work we were going to go on a winter picnic.
