We are using the Reflect the Light of the Lord program this year as our main theme. In addition, I've tried to base classes/lessons around what is being taught each month in RS, since we were told to base our Enrichment nights around the monthly lessons. I'll tell you what - boy has it been a chore to come up with things that "go together" and make sense so we can have a cute theme or advertising slogan. But here's what I've got so far.
Outline:
Enrichment Lesson Provident Living Lesson Classes On going book review class Refreshments In addition we have 4 sister spotlights, an idea table of fun things to enrich the home/family, and 2 FHE packets the sisters may sign up to get copies of.
Light of the Lord" program/booklets and the response was awesome. We had a slide show about the RS declaration, our president spoke about the program, then we went and had dessert - everything chocolate! we're using the different areas of the declaration each month to help us plan classes and to help the sisters get their goals done.
Give Your Heart in Service - we're having a big quilting bee with 6 quilts going, a dinner of different casseroles made from food storage items, a lesson on service "beyond" the casserole - ways we can serve our sisters.
teaching a gardening class, we're sewing temple dress bags and making ceramic statues of Christ. We'll also have a book review class.
