Your bedroom should be a special place. This is the place where you go to rest and a place you and your husband go for alone time. The bed is not for laundry or changing diapers on. You shouldn't have to look at laundry baskets on the floor, bills on the dresser or desk, or a screeching television. There is a simple way to give your bedroom a great facelift. All you need to do is think of a few things. NO FLOWERS! They are not sexy. No, you won't be in your bedroom every time for alone time, but you want your husband to like the bedroom, too. He shouldn't feel like he's walked into a girls dorm or a woman's garden room. This room should join the two of you. I suggest buying a new set of satin sheets. If satin is a little too rich for your budget, you can purchase cotton sateen. They are soft like cotton, but silky like satin. Wonderful!!! If you have enough room, rearrange a few things. Scoot the bed to the center of the room with 2 bed stands on each side. Don't clutter every surface you have. Keep it simple. A lamp, book (couple's devotional maybe), and candles. I like a lot of candles; they can set a mood, calm, and relax. This is just what you need at the end of a long day. Get a new set of sheets, clean out the flowers, and buy a few pillar candles. Enjoy your new room!
