This is an easy and quick apron to sew. You can match it with your current kitchen themed towels. Its a one size fits all. My daughter and I use it all the time.
Materials needed:
2 hand towels sewing machine Matching spool of thread 1 package 1 inch twill tap 1 bottle fray check
Directions:
Cut one dish towel in half. Take the uncut dish towel- this is your apron. The one piece of the cut dish towel is the pocket.
Lay the apron main piece horizontally. Pin the half towel to the apron. Sew the sides and the bottom, leaving the top open. If you wish, sew a seam down the center of the pocket, double stitching near the top to keep from ripping easily. This will make it into two pockets.
Open package of twill tape. Find the center by folding it completely in half. Mark with a pin. Place the center of the twill tape in the center of the apron. (Find the center in the same way.) Stitch tape on the top and the bottom.
Finish by applying the fray check to the end of the twill tap edges.
