Use hot glue or caulking to stick sheet metal to front of painted wood. Add on any extra graphics to your sheet metal.  Let project dry FLAT so that the metal will adhere to the wood.

Trinket boxes are useful for storing small items such as buttons, safety pins, seeds, or small scrapbooking embellishments.     These boxes were decorated in one of my favorite themes- animal prints.
