We support homemakers and share ideas needed for maintaining your home with articles, crafts, recipes and ideas in hundreds of categories.

Our Purpose:

Our purpose is to mentor, help, inspire, teach and uplift all women in fulfilling their roles as homemakers and mothers to their fullest capacity.  We hope that by sharing our stories, thoughts, articles and ideas that we will touch and mentor women everywhere.

Our goal is to assist women at all stages of knowledge, experience and seasons of life.  Whether young or old the responsibilities we have in our homes will always be great. 

We Believe:

We believe the quote, '... the hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world' by William Ross Wallace to be as true today as it was in the beginning.  As homemakers, who we influence, what we teach, the examples we show are imperative to how the next generation turns out.

We know with certainty that homemaking skills are just as important in our day and age as they have always been.  Homemakers have a demanding, but gratifying responsibility.  Homemakers deserve a tremendous amount of respect.  Homemaking is more important that any job outside of the home.  Homemakers can be single, without child, mothers, grandmas, aunts, holding a job, staying at home, etc.    Yes, even dads can sometimes fall into this category. 

We believe the influential importance of homemaking is only secondary in life to rearing wholesome and happy children.  We believe the word “Homemaking” is a largely encompassing term.  Homemaking doesn’t just involve cleaning, although this is an important aspect of homemaking.  Homemaking involves: love, service, respect, mentoring, teaching, example and many more things.

Our Plan:

We hope to share with the world how imperative and how fulfilling homemaking is.  We do this in writing articles pertaining to: inspiration for homemakers, encouraging hobbies (see our craft section), taking care of ourselves, parenting, superintending a family, cooking skills and recipes, and more.

We encourage homemakers to share their ideas, their stories, and their examples by writing for The Homemaking Cottage.  We encourage volunteers. 

We have the Deluxe Edition as an additional full resource to all homemakers.  In it we feature in-depth articles and some homemaking courses.   None of these articles are featured elsewhere; they are specific to the Deluxe Edition.

We hope to excite all homemakers with new ideas and inspiration.  We hope that our visitors and alumni will share this website with everyone they know, capture the vision and join the cause.
