Start with a flexible strand of wire that is stout enough to hold it's shape when made into a circle. (suggested gauge would be 20).
Measure the young woman's head to determine size. Then make a circle with the wire to fit, overlapping edges of wire several times at end (this will be covered later). At the two open ends you will make a elongated u shape that will interlock one with the other. Start braiding in middle and work your way down one side till completely covered. Then in the middle again and down the opposite side.
Select either all red, all pink, or a combination of red and white or pink and white silk flowers. Gather small bunches of flowers with stems and secure together with floral tape. Can also add baby's breath in with them or do it separate. After making up several bunches of the flowers start in middle and attach them to the wire base using more floral tape. Usually, I will do one bunch of flowers then a bunch of baby's breath, then more flowers and more baby's breath till the entire circle is covered with the exclusion of a small space in back.
*Special note: DO NOT COVER the interlocking "u" shape as you will not be able to make adjustments in size if need to later.
