You are the Star of your Life
Stars brightly twinkle, giving us light by night, and still are cheerfully twinkling in dawn’s early light. Stars are unique, beautiful, and glorious just as the brightly gleaming sun is, or the intense glow of the moon at night. There are millions of stars twinkling brightly each night. Like the stars need the moon’s glow to be seen in a dark sky, we need the light of love to brighten the lives of others. I love Robert Frost’s poem “Choose Something Like a Star”. “O Star (the fairest one in sight), We grant your loftiness the right To some obscurity of cloud- It will not do to say of night, Since dark is what brings out your light.” We are the fairest one in the sight of our family. As we embrace the important role of creating What kind of star are you? Each star is unique and special, but we believe there are three types of stars of the home that we’ll describe and you decide which one you are and which one you want to be: Fading Star ~The fading star is feeling overwhelmed and a little discouraged. She feels she is not making a difference in the lives of others and is at the point of giving up. She needs a little pampering, some energy or “Celestial gas”, if you will, to fill her with the light she needs and be able to become a warm glower. Warm Glowers~These stars are warm, loving, confident, and each has plenty left in her well of light to give to others. Everything she does reflects love, understanding, and happiness. Warm glowers are healthy, but not perfect as no star is a perfect star. Warm glowers are confident in her uniqueness and nothing holds her back from living life to the fullest. Firecrackers~The firecracker is full of energy and sometimes a little bit of fire. She has a temper or can be impatient from time to time. The opposite can be true too as everything she does is full of energy and enthusiasm. Firecrackers are always noticed as they shine so brightly. Her downfall is trying to make sure her temper stays simmered and her positive enthusiasm is the most vibrant. We are the stars in our loved one’s lives, but also in the lives of our sphere of influence. We can be the shining example if we allow ourselves to be. While the rest of the world lives in darkness we are the stars in our homes. Ladies, let’s let our lights shine.
