How Much Does Your Bottled Water Really Cost You?

Plastic BottledPeople are not only concerned with the high cost of bottled water to our wallets and the environment, but also the low quality. Here is what New York Times columnist Bill Marsh had to say in a recent article:  “Those eight daily glasses of water you're supposed to drink for good health? They will cost you $0.00135 -- about 49 cents a year...

Visiting Teaching Cruise

We interrupt our regularly scheduled homemaking night for this very important message.....

Are you tired of the humdrum of every day living?
Are you feeling Blah?  Do you think no one cares?
Are you starting to talk like your 2 years old because you rarely have an adult conversation?
Get away from the every day!!!
Now you can have the experience of a life time on an unforgettable visiting teaching cruise!
You and your companion will travel round trip in the comfort of your very own vehicle.  Leave your worries behind as the two of you climb into your car and embark on a memorable journey of love and service.  If you book immediately, you may be able to visit all your sister in one exciting trip.

First stop on your itinerary is the island paradise of Sister A.  Her home is a modest one - neat and tidy and as you enter you feel her humble spirit.  While there, go ahead and bask in the glow of her warmth and love of the gospel.  Feel free to explore the visiting teaching message with her and share the adventure of testimony bearing.

All too quickly, it's time for you to go.  You leave with a brief hug and a promise you will return soon.

Next stop on this fantastic get-away is the home of Sister B.  A word of caution here- you may arrive during hurricane season.  You may want to bring a tasty casserole and a loaf of home baked bread- just in case.

As you enter-you may meet with gale force winds from time to time as this young mother attends to the needs of her small children.

A quick glance and you realize this overwhelmed mom needs help!  Soon the dishes are done, the laundry is folded and floors are swept.  As you share the Visiting Teaching message with this young sister, you feel of the Saviors love for her.

Again it is time for departure - with her permission you leave her home with a humble prayer to strengthen and support her in her most important calling as mother.  With tears of gratitude, Sister B. waves good-bye and begs you to come again soon.

The last stop on this incredible adventure is at the home of sister C.  Her home is beautiful and speaks of wealth and position.  Once inside you realize that the atmosphere here isn't quite as warm as in the previous sisters' homes.  But that's O.K. because you've brought with you a warm sweater of kindness and friendship.  Sister C. is less active so the visiting teaching message may not be well received. however, you feel impressed to express genuine love for her and invite her to join in the next homemaking activity.  You leave reluctantly - is there something more you could have said or done?

All too soon your visiting teaching cruise is over.  As you wave a reluctant goodbye to your companion you know this is one trip you will take again and again. In fact, a trip like this, once a month is just what you need to recharge your spiritual battery.  Next months cruise can't come too soon.

You realize there are other homes you would like to visit as well.  Sisters who are struggling with sickness, indifference and overwhelming problems.  Sisters whose homes are filled with laughter, love and harmony.  Just so many sisters to get to know better.

These enchanting getaways come with a warning....If these visiting teaching cruises are handled with prayer, they can easily become habit forming and can result in eternal friendships.

Sandi, then made up Visiting teaching cruise tickets, which had listed each persons visiting teachers with their birthdays and all necessary information.  On the bottom of the ticket was written: "Travel light - just a smile and a hug."
