How Much Does Your Bottled Water Really Cost You?

Plastic BottledPeople are not only concerned with the high cost of bottled water to our wallets and the environment, but also the low quality. Here is what New York Times columnist Bill Marsh had to say in a recent article:  “Those eight daily glasses of water you're supposed to drink for good health? They will cost you $0.00135 -- about 49 cents a year...

Christ in Christmas Program

For our December Enrichment Night we focus it on "Keeping Christ In Christmas." This was a very awesome night.

We set up in the R.S. room and we removed the big table so the room was more open up front. We had different Nativities set up on the Piano. We had on the other side of the room a small class room table with a pretty table cloth on it and an empty Nativity Inn.

Next we had a small tree with gift bags under the tree numbered 1-9 with one piece of a Nativity starting with Mary, Joseph, (go along with Story).  As the sisters entered, we handed out a little paper with a number 1-9 on it for that one sister to go up and unwrap a gift and set up the Nativity. We had a narrator read the scriptures from Luke and Matthew about the birth of Christ.

The program went as follows: ( we asked some sisters to sing or play a musical instrument one mother and daughter played the violin and flute together, do whatever, but get your sisters involved this will get them out and the spirit is always there when the is music.)

Silent Night

Open Gift #9 Last present is the baby Jesus explain why it's important to keep Christ in Christmas and to slow down during the holidays. Remember the real reason for the season.

This was a great night and it only took about an hour which is great for this time of year when so many things a going on it was a nice break.

We served Ice cream sundaes for dessert- Yummy!  Then the enrichment night committee handed out 12'x1"x6" boards painted black with the words screen printed on "Keep CHRIST in Christmas." They turned out beautiful and it was a nice token gift to give for each sister to have in their home as a reminder every year.

Good luck and enjoy this special night with your sisters.
