Scented Neck Towels

Written by Alyssa Brewer

We made scented neck towels for relaxation.

You bring a standard bath towel and some uncooked rice.  We had four ladies bring sewing machines from home.

The scented oils were provided by the RS presidency.  We used Cinnamon spice, Peppermint, and some flowery scent I can't remember the name of.

Cut the towel length wise so that your piece is 6-8 inches wide.  You fold it in half and sew around leaving the top open (leave about a 1/2 inch seam allowance).  Turn the towel right side out.

Put the rice in a container (I think we used about 5 or 6 cups per towel) and add a few drops of scented oil.  Stir gently.  Add the rice to the towel and sew the top closed.

These are great if you are tired.  Pop them in the microwave and then put it around the back of your neck, sit down and relax.

I think we made these 2 years ago and mine still smells nice when I heat it up.
