Many products emit fumes that can be inhaled. Make your home cleaner and safer and the air inside will be.
Here is a list of things that emit fumes. Try to eliminate your house of them.
*Plastics *Scented beauty & hygienic products *Cleaning products made from synthetic chemicals *Pesticides *Synthetic fibers and fabrics *Office supplies with volatile ingredients *Household furnishings made from synthetic materials *Gas appliances and heaters *Building materials made from Formaldehyde
Some other ways to keep the air inside you home cleaner are to increase ventilation. Keep the windows open whenever possible. Invest in a window fan. Houseplants help clean the air from most toxins especially the two most toxic things: ozone and tobacco smoke.
Being LDS I know that the Lord has warned us against tobacco use. In Doctrine and Covenants 89: 8 it says, "And again, tobacco is not for the body, neither for the belly, and is not good for man, but is an herb for bruises and all sick cattle, to be used with judgment and skill."
In verses 18-21 is says,
(18)"And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones;"
(19)"And shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures;"
(20)" And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint."
(21) "And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen."
Tobacco smoke is one of the most poisonous toxins. How do people subject their children to it and not let it bother them? I have a good friend who has had life-long asthma and she is always takes breathing treatment every couple of hours. She is very sickly. Why? Because her mother always smokes in the house and around her.
Tobacco smoke contains the following toxins:
Benzene Carbon Monoxide Formaldehyde Ammonia Hydrogen Cyanide
If you follow the steps and tips listed here, your home's air will be cleaner and you and your family will healthier as a result.
