Those of you with children all know how difficult it is to get a Girls' Night "Out". Sometimes we agonize over to cost of babysitting. Sometimes we wonder if we are spending enough "quality" time with our little ones. But how often do we have Girls' Night In? Fun for everyone! Mom, Dad, girls, and boys! We can even get the babies into it.
Here is one example of a Girls' Night In. First you go out and rent a few "girly" movies. For a younger crowd: Ella Enchanted, Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella, Wizard of Oz, etc. For an older group you want movies like: The Reluctant Debutante, Roman Holiday, or Pride and Prejudice. The young ladies of the family will love the romance, and the men will love to poke fun.
You'll want to refresh yourself before the big makeovers. So, get together the cucumber slices, hand creams, and facial masks. If you can't find any cucumbers, eggplant or some such in your fridge will do. Remember: Fun is the goal! Go ahead! Get out that fingernail polish! Get out the hairbrushes and combs! Don't be shy, Daddy! Daddy's make handsome princes! While waiting for the masks to set and nails to dry, chat. Talk about anything and everything, the boy next door, the dog next door, school, favorite TV shows, YW, and everything in between.
After your 4 year old little princess has made you beautiful, go make brownies, popcorn, or cookies!
Don't worry Dads and brothers. You can return the favor by holding your Boy's Night.
