My little family is preparing for Rosh Hashanah. Our house is stocked with apples and honey and on Wednesday, September 28th at sundown we will welcome the start of the Jewish New Year. Even if you don’t practice the Jewish faith, everyone can have fun with the message and joy that is Rosh Hashanah.

Thanksgiving can be a little stressful when you have company coming and you have to cook the whole meal. Sure the company is bringing a pie and will help with the dishes and clean up,

It's easy to decorate this time of year with the abundance of earthly treasures God has given us. Grab a cup thermos of spiced tea and join me outside as we begin to decorate.

When fall comes around we enjoy making pumpkin crafts in our home to go along with the fall season. We made these a couple of years ago and gave them away to friends as gifts.

When I think of Fall, I think of oranges, yellows and reds. I think of leaves changing color and falling in piles on the ground. It has been 30 years since I lived on the East Coast but I have never let go of that ideal.

Make sure your not forgetting to thank all the people that do things for you through out the year.

Although the traditional time for the Bavarian celebration of Oktoberfest is the second week of September, you can still have a good time with your family and start your own tradition of October Fest.
