Guidelines for Guest Posts
Generally the kind of guest post that is published on any of the Homemaking Cottage & Company sites will meet the following criteria:
- Content must be unique, not published elsewhere, or republished in the future.
- About homemaking, motherhood, unique and delicious recipes, ideas to enhance marriage, holiday celebration articles.
- Personal in tone, and demonstrating personal knowledge of the experience or ideas shared.
- Not too general as those can be found on sites like ehow.com ~ share how these principles/ideas fit into the life of a homemaker.
- Plenty of useful detail and information about how-to, the recipe, the article of inspiration for homemakers~ not too generic
- Articles must be family friendly in content, tone, and corresponding links.
Links
For Guest posts, links are permitted to the writer’s personal blog or website. If, however you wish to promote and link to commercial products and services, please read the Advertising page.
Links are also permitted to the official websites of interest to homemakers that you mention.
Photos
We promote and love photos and images and believe strongly they enhance the article and blog. You are encouraged to send me as many of your own great photos as you have to accompany your guest post. However, is you do not have suitable photos of your own, please be aware of the following;
All photos used to illustrate the guest article must be correctly licenced for this kind of use and not subject to copyright restrictions
If you do not have any suitable photos of your own, others may be available from photo sharing sites provided they have been given a Creative Commons for republication.
