How Much Does Your Bottled Water Really Cost You?

Plastic BottledPeople are not only concerned with the high cost of bottled water to our wallets and the environment, but also the low quality. Here is what New York Times columnist Bill Marsh had to say in a recent article:  “Those eight daily glasses of water you're supposed to drink for good health? They will cost you $0.00135 -- about 49 cents a year...

Discover the Elegance of Wearing White

With the warmer weather on the horizon, now is the perfect time to pull out the lighter clothing.  White is elegant, refreshing and pure.  White is classic and looks beautiful and feminine especially as solid dresses, skirts, and blouses.   Because white is such a classic color women who wear white stand out in a feminine sophisticated way.

White represents cleansing and new beginnings. Putting on a white blouse feels like being given an opportunity to start the day with a clean slate. Wearing a white garment, as long as it hasn't taken on any discoloration from too much laundering, can offer a fresh and bright outlook.

I’ve heard some people say they can’t wear white because they are afraid of staining their clothes.  Let go of your fear of white and enjoy the freshness of it.  If you get a spot of food or other stain on your white clothes- cleaning whites and restoring their color is the easiest of all the colors!

Remember, white tends to be see-through.  If you are wearing a skirt add a slip if it doesn’t already have another layer underneath.   If wearing a thin t-shirt or blouse wear a chemise or tank top.  Don’t forget to wear light or white undergarments.  Nothing is more noticeably unattractive than seeing someone’s underwear through their white clothing.

Whether you live in a warm or cold climate shouldn’t determine whether or not you wear white clothing, but it may determine when you wear white.  Since most white clothing tends to be thinner, those who live in cold climates may wait until after the frosty chill has melted away before they bring out their whites.  Meanwhile those in warmer climates may be able to wear white clothing throughout the year, and especially enjoying the coolness of white during the summer heat.

Since white matches everything you can add your favorite colors as accent such as jewelry, scarves, belts, etc.  One of my favorite things about white (along with other neutral colors) is that I can mix and match so many colored pieces and create many different outfits.

If you don’t have a white skirt or blouse in your wardrobe, keep an eye out today and discover the femininity of dressing in white.
