FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
The 25 Most Influential Homemakers: Call for Nominations
Colorado – March 24, 2010 –
Ask virtually any public figure about the most influential woman in his or her life, and you'll get the same answer, over and over again: "My mother." Mothers very rarely get the recognition they deserve for their self-sacrifice and unending love, but the Homemaking Cottage (www.homemaking-cottage.com) wants to change that. In honor of Mother's Day (May 9, 2010), the Homemaking Cottage announces the "Most Influential Homemakers" contest to identify today's greatest living homemakers having an impact on the families and world around them.
Founding editor Shiloah Baker says, “Mothers are the behind-the-scenes, in-the-minivan heroines of numerous stories, and they deserve to be celebrated. It is the everyday woman that makes the largest impact on raising the future generation of our country. We are glorifying the everyday wife and mother."
The contest is open to nominations from now until April 30, 2010. To nominate a woman in your life, please do the following:
• Write an essay of at least 300 words on the woman you would like to nominate. Tell of her life, achievements, her service (volunteer, charities, etc), personal sacrifices for the benefit and love of others, and/or other notable and worthy characteristics. Please send the typed entry via Microsoft Word.
• Please include a photo of your nominee.
• Also include your contact information so you may be contacted for more details.
• Submit your entry by email to:
