Book Blitz

Book BlitzI have a pretty hard-bound notebook I purchased at Barnes and Noble that is my “book” notebook.  In this notebook I keep track of what I’ve read and what I want to read.  I have pages with book wish lists for me, for my husband, and for my kids.

Homemaking Cottage Talk Radio

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
New Podcast Gives Homemakers Support and Inspiration

Colorado Springs - February 18, 2010 – Neighborly chats over the backyard fence between homemakers may be rare these days, but women don't have to be isolated at home. Now, a new podcast from Homemaking Cottage & Company gives women companionship, advice, and a much-needed boost of confidence and support.

The Homemaking Cottage Podcast is an offshoot of the very popular Homemaking Cottage & Company, an online community supporting homemakers and mothers in their quest to create loving and nurturing homes for their families. The one-hour podcast will be similar in structure to a radio show, and has a goal of reaching women wherever they are with advice, tips, and inspiration.

Whether they're driving carpool, making dinner, or taking a much-needed “five minutes for Mom,” listeners will find the podcast full of ideas and support from other women in similar situations. Founding editor Shiloah Baker says, “This podcast is by women who know what you are going through. We share the tricks, tips, excitement and occasional disappointments related to running a home and family. We know you need to be reassured that you're doing good – that's why we're here.”

The first show, releasing March 1, 2010, will consist of Mrs. Baker sharing her background and the genesis of Homemaking Cottage. Mrs. Baker, mom of soon-to-be eight, has plenty of stories, advice, and tips on raising a family. Future podcast topics will include:

Housecleaning and organizing
Home decorating
Thrifty living
Recipes you'll love
Romancing your spouse
Teaching your family to help around the house
Interviews with mothers of large families
Q&A from listeners and readers of Homemaking-Cottage.com

Future episodes will be available on a bi-monthly basis. By allowing busy women to access the information and support they need, when they need it, Homemaking Cottage & Company will expand the reach of its online community. The new podcast brings companionship and advice off the computer and right into women's hectic lives, where they need it the most.
